Supply Chain Management

SBTI developed www.dpexchange.net for Acsis, Inc. DPEXchange.Net is an ASP (Application Service Provider) offering vendor compliance labeling (VCL), electronic purchase orders and acknowledgements, release processing, advanced shipment notices (ASNs), plus several more. DPEXchange.Net manages the supply chain by receiving daily data transfers from customer ERP systems such as SAP. Current information is available on-line to customers and vendors from which shipping labels are generated, purchase orders are downloaded and acknowledged, quick receive labels are generated and scanned then reports to the customer shipments in advance.

Specificially, SBTI played several key roles during the development of dpexchange.net

* Performed the analysis, design and web development for multiple browsers using ASP, Javascript, VB Script, Visual Basic 32 bit COM+ components running under Advanced Server 2000 Component Services as COM+ applications, SQL, DHTML and XML

* Manage and mentor three (3) Acsis web developers to ensure they understand requirements, develop according to standards and assist them with technical issues to meet project deadlines on-time.

* Install and maintain several Microsoft IIS web servers for production, staging, demo and development environments.

* DBA responsible for the overall design, implementation and daily maintenance of several MS SQL Server databases. DPEXChange.Net databases incorporate many SQL stored procedures and several DTS packages.

E-Commerce  
 

SBTI developed web based e-commerce financial solutions to process credit cards, vouchers, money orders and checks for a leading provider of professional licensing and certification exams. We developed Active Server Pages (ASP) comprised of HTML, VB Script and Javascript, as well as, Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) based Visual Basic 32-bit dll COM components for Oracle database processing.

SBTI was Instrumental in increasing web based e-commerce revenue generating capability from twelve transactions per minute to several hundred for a leading provider of professional licensing and certification exams. Specifically, we identified the shortcomings of the modem based process then researched, tested and assisted in the implementation of a Linux based IP solution. Visual Basic components SBTI developed handle communication and information processing between the Linux based credit card server , a web based electronic payment and reservation system as well as an in-house nationwide PowerBuilder based reservation system.

For a leading provider of professional licensing and certification exams, SBTI maintained and enhanced sections of their web based exam reservation and client information systems. Maintenance and enhancements included problem resolution through analysis and system modification using Microsoft Visual Interdev to enhance Active Server Page code consisting of HTML, VBScript, Javascript, and Visual Basic 32-bit dll COM components running on Microsoft Transaction Server.

SBTI designed and developed an e-commerce solution for GBS Associates, Inc. which has increased potential customer awareness of their product. We did the analysis, design and web site development using Microsoft Visual Interdev to create HTML web pages.

   
Banking and Finance  
 

SBTI developed many of the intranet based system modules of a loan tracking system for a major commercial mortgage company. We did analysis, design and developed Visual Basic Active X components and Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures.

SBTI reduced the time required to process system security information from approximately one full day to minutes for a major commercial mortgage company. Our solution involved problem analysis, design and implementation of an intranet-based Visual Basic Active X and MS SQL Server system.

SBTI was the only organization able to create a working SQL based loan fee Reporting system for a major commercial mortgage company based on their complex business requirement. Several other consultants were unsuccessful in their attempt to create this system. The reporting system is now used by every branch as a vital tool to maintain loan information by portraying loans at various stages of the pipeline along with proper crediting of loan amounts and loan officer fees.

SBTI developed a system to merge client and financial data from two major financial institutions. After the merger, one system was needed that would combine client information and related financial data from both organizations into one central repository. SBTI was selected to develop the system and it was our responsibility to perform the extensive requirements gathering, systems analysis, database design and SQL stored procedure development.

SBTI participated in re-engineering an investment system for a large banking and investment institution. We developed user interfaces using PowerBuilder and Sybase SQL stored procedures.

SBTI Enhanced and maintained two financial based web sites for Persimmon Research Partners (PRP). using Active Server Pages comprised of VBScript, DHTML, XML, XSLT, Javascript and Visual Basic 32 Bit COM+ components interacting with MS SQL Server databases.

SBTI Enhanced and maintained a Visual Basic fee calculator application utilizing SOAP and XML.

Defense  
 

SBTI re-engineered many of the system modules for a flight management used by the USAF. The flight management system, originally developed using ADA, is used worldwide by the Air Mobility Command. We re-developed many of the user interfaces using PowerBuilder and Oracle.

SBTI Implemented a new development approach that dramatically decreased application overhead by reducing database requests for the Army ROTC web site. Utilized Cold Fusion and Oracle much more efficiently then clients previous programming standard. Client has since modified all their Cold Fusion and Oracle applications to incorporate this solution

   
Healthcare and Pharamceuticals  
 

SBTI developed an RFP system for a major health insurance provider based in Texas. We participated in the user interface design and system development using PowerBuilder and Microsoft SQL Server SQL stored procedures.

SBTI developed a sales and marketing compensation system for a major health insurance provider. We did the requirements gathering, system analysis, design and implemented a solution using Visual Basic and Sybase

SBTI developed an EIS (Executive Information System) for a major pharmaceutical company using Visual Basic and Pilot Lightship.

 
   
Insurance  
 

SBTI Enhanced the functionality of the AIG aigdirect.com website by adding XML capabilities. Aigdirect.com is an insurance quoting system. SBTI worked closely with AIG to devise the XML document, http transferring the XML document, parsing the document using Cold Fusion, saving the information in Oracle and then creating a PDF file using FDF Merge so the prospect can print their application.

SBTI Developed a windows media intranet application for Allstate Insurance. SBTI worked closely with Approach to develop an enterprise wide intranet application for Allstate. Developed using C# (C Sharp), ASP.Net and MS SQL Server, the application enables Allstate to communicate more effectively and efficiently throughout the enterprise.

   
Small Business  
 

SBTI Performed the analysis and design for PSS’s action sports web site. PSS needs to compete with other online retailers with a solid web presence.

SBTI Performed the analysis, design and implementation of a web site for Henry of Mayfair.

SBTI Researched and recommended software and hardware for DOS Amigos too streamline business operations.
